712 FIFTH AVENUE
712 Fifth Avenue Lobby renovation featuring a curved glass entrance and stainless steel heater grille covers that follow the form of the glazing.
As an Architectural Designer at M. Cohen & Sons, I modeled the stainless steel heater grille covers in Autodesk Inventor, drafted the fabrication drawings, and programmed the CNC milling tool paths with Autodesk Inventor CAM. I worked alongside the Lead Designer with whom I coordinated 3D models of the entryway, and received field dimensions from the Project Manager to ensure tolerance fit.
My Roles:
Ordered the necessary materials and CNC router bits for fabrication on the 3-axis HAAS machine.
Coordinated my custom NC programs with the Shop Foreman and the Machinist while overseeing the completion of this project.
Drafted the erection drawings necessary for install
Worked with the Project Manager to meet drafting and fabrication deadlines.
