CNC production

CAD modeling, CAM toolpaths, CNC programming, and overall execution. 

I have 8 years experience in CNC production positions where I have an active hand in producing client projects. I gather the necessary information to create CAD models, set up the CAM tool path positions for the CNC machines, prep material, load material onto the CNC router bed, calibrate the appropriate bits, and oversee the process as the machine transforms the material into a client product.

The custom plates above were a personal project collaborated with a colleague at Dock 6 Collective. We experimented with several different wood species and resin combinations to develop a series of plates filling in the natural cracks of the wood drying process.

I have explored manipulating various materials such as acrylics, wood composites, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, soft plastics, bamboo, solid hardwoods, veneers, medium density foam, and light density foam.
