HOTEL DEL CORONADO
In 2015 I hit the ground running with my first CNC position overseeing the production and producing the pieces to complete a 20ft tall geometric christmas tree for Hotel Del Coronado, in Coronado, California.
The previous CNC Design Engineer left the company, leaving behind a sketch up model of the skin and bones of this geometric christmas tree. It was my responsibility to :
Refine the engineering
Set up the individual leaves for CNC programming
CNC cut each aluminum leaf
Communicate the production process to the salesperson
CNC cut the layout of the bones for the welding team
Produce the proper drawings to communicate the assembly to the team
Be available for all and any questions regarding the entire production process
